Two Star Hotel Accommodation
In this classification a hotel will typically be small to
medium sized and offer more extensive facilities than at the
one star level. A business hotel come into the two star classification
and guests can expect comfortable, well equipped, overnight
accommodation, usually with an en-suite bath/shower room.
Reception and other staff will aim for a more professional
presentation that at the one star level, and offer a wider
range of straightforward services, including food and drink.
Percentage scores - what they mean
The percentage score denotes the quality of the facilities
and services at each star rating, and is based on the inspector's
personal experience at the time of his/her visit. It enables
guests to distinguish degrees of quality at a hotel of the
same star rating.
Outstanding Quality
These are hotels awarded the AA's supreme award and are made
annually to a select number of hotels as a recognition of
excellence within their star rating. For a hotel to earn it,
it must consistently provide outstanding levels of hospitality,
service, food and comfort.
High Quality
A score greater than 70 per cent indicates a very good hotel,
which is strongly recommended for achieving excellent standards
in most areas of the operation.
